Quick Photo: The recently completed Eighth Avenue Place in downtown Calgary. Approved for development back in 2006, the 49-story east tower is the first of two towers that are replacing the 94-year-old Penny Lane Mall that was demolished back in 2007.

Quick Photos: Martin “Bucky” Seja of the Canadian band Down With Webster, rocks the Coca-Cola stage last night at the 2011 Calgary Stampede. The crowd was large, young, and full of energy. Also, I just had to include a photo of someone holding up their sandal. Totally random, but totally awesome. View the entire Coca-Cola Stage line-up.

The weekend of June 11/12 proved to be a very exciting weekend as I had the pleasure of working as the official photographer for the second annual CPPL 2011 Canadian Triple Crown event, which was held in Salmon Arm, BC. The Canadian Triple Crown is the largest, most diverse paintball tournament in Canada, having teams come from the CPPL and IPL leagues, as well as from western Canada and the United States.
I was on the field capturing the action of more than 20 hours of gameplay over the two day tournament. It was long and intense, but incredibly awesome and a whole lot of fun. I just wish I had two camera bodies, as having only one lens is really limiting me in terms of what I can capture.
Regardless, I made a lot of new friends and have a lot of people excited to see me entering into the world of paintball photography. I really enjoy it and see myself sticking around for a while. View all of my photos from Triple Crown.
Here are a few of my favourite images from the event.

Quick photo: The 2011 Calgary Stampede kicks off in just six more days here in Alberta. I had an amazing time helping out the Calgary Food Bank last year and can’t wait to see everyone dressed in plaid again. It’s easily one of my favourite times of the year. Now, where’s my hat?!
