The first of its kind, the myHusky App was a brand new product that gave customers across Canada the ability to purchase fuel from the comfort of their vehicles. Designed initially for iOS and later adapted for Android, the app allowed customers to both find and get directions to Husky stations, select a pump, chose their payment method and amount, and complete the entire transaction process directly within the app. It also allowed them to track, manage, and earn rewards instantly with every purchase. Adhering strictly to Apple’s HIG and Google’s Material Design standards, the myHusky App succeeded in boosting fuel sales revenue YoY and spawned a new competitive landscape of fuel apps across Canada. At launch, an extensive awareness campaign was executed that included a hype video shared across social media, OOH buys on street furniture, billboards and in parking garages, digital display advertising, and a partnership with the Calgary Flames.
